Summer is finally over

Summer is finally over

We had an exciting summer with lots of grow outs happening. Many beautiful babies are now older juveniles and will soon begin laying.

Our turkey breeding program has stabilized for the time being with one beautiful tom and two lovely and sweet hens. They will likely begin laying early next year.

Things with the farmstand are slowly coming to a close, and it will be shutting down for winter after the first snow sticks.

The rabbits will be shaved one last time before winter and bred for the final breeding of the year quite soon. Hopefully the does take and there are no issues!

Our farm is officially Salmonella pullorum and Typhoid free after being tested to join the NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Program) and I am nearly done with inspections and field school training for APTA (Authorized Poultry Testing Agent) with the state of Minnesota. Inspection will occur in November along with my field school.

We currently have no animals for sale at this time.
