About Rainbow Eggs Farms LLC
Rainbow Eggs Farm is a small, diversified homestead in Minnetrista, Minnesota, where I raise laying and breeding poultry, Narragansett turkeys, and a small, carefully managed German angora rabbitry. Quality, transparency, and genuine animal care are at the center of everything I do here.
I’m Kris, and my years of hands-on animal handling shape the way I approach every aspect of my farm. This isn’t a hobby I stumbled into. It’s a long-held passion for self-sufficiency, ethical husbandry, and the belief that how we treat our animals matters. I have "worn many hats" and have managed commercial pet stores, was a professional dog groomer for almost a decade, spent many years breeding and raising a large variety of both freshwater and saltwater fish and invertebrates, and grew up riding horses, showing them professionally. My parents always had ducks, chickens, goats, our horses, dogs and cats.. so animals have always just been my thing.
Every animal at Rainbow Eggs Farm is raised with intention. I don’t ever over-breed, my breeding animals get regular attention and breaks from breeding to maintain good condition, I don’t chase sales, and I don’t treat living creatures as inventory. Whether you’re here for farm fresh eggs, quality fiber, or a rabbit from a line I’ve raised and stand behind, you’ll always know exactly what you’re getting and why I’m proud of it.
One thing I do want to touch on is the need for anyone with any animal operation to have a good relationship with a qualified and experienced veterinary professional who regularly sees exotic patients. My rabbits (and poultry if needed) go to Watertown Veterinary Clinic in Watertown, MN.
